Team India has won their first match of Super 8. With a win against Bangladesh, they will move strongly towards the semi-finals. Bangladesh have lost their first match in Super 8. It was defeated by Australia under the Duckworth-Lewis rule.
India and Bangladesh have met 13 times in T20 Internationals, with India winning 12, while Bangladesh have beaten India in one match. This is the fifth meeting between the two in the history of T20 World Cup. Before this, India had won all four matches.
