Teenager jumps in front of metro train at Noida City Center station, hospitalized

Noida:

A teenage girl allegedly jumped in front of a metro train and was seriously injured at Noida City Center station on Tuesday. Police said the girl jumped in front of a Delhi-bound metro train on the Blue Line corridor of the metro rail network at platform number two of the metro station around 10 am. An officer of Sector 39 police station said, “The girl is around 15 years old. He was taken to the district hospital located here from where he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.

The police said in a statement that the girl’s family members are present at the hospital. It said that the CCTV cameras installed at the metro station showed that the girl had tried to commit suicide. The police said that the matter is being investigated and the reason behind the incident is being ascertained.
