New Delhi. The Indian cricket team now has to play the next series against Australia. The squad has been announced for the upcoming matches against the Kangaroo team on the tour of India. The selectors announced the 15-member squad on Monday, September 18. The senior players have been rested in the first two matches. The young sensation of Team India will come out to bat in the ODI against Australia.

After the record-breaking victory in the Asia Cup final, now Team India’s next mission will be the ODI series against Australia. The selectors on Monday announced the squad for the three matches starting from September 18 to September 22. Stars like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav have been rested for the first two matches. While in the third match, all have returned. KL Rahul will captain the first two ODIs while Ravindra Jadeja has been made the vice-captain.

Virat replaced by young sensation
Virat Kohli will miss the first two matches of the ODI series against Australia. The selectors have rested him with the World Cup in mind. The question in everyone’s mind will be who will bat at number three in his place. The answer is that Tilak Verma, a 20-year-old youth, will get this position. The reason behind this is obvious as Tilak Verma came in at number 3 in his debut match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. In T20 matches too, he batted at number three in the last two matches.
