The name of the film we are talking about is ‘Vikram’. Stars like Kamal Haasan, Fahad Fazil and Vijay Sethupathi played important roles in it. Also, superstar Surya had a cameo in the film. However, the entire story of the film revolves around Kamal Haasan’s character Vikram, who decides to avenge his son’s death and eliminate the drug mafia. After its release, ‘Vikram’ was a hit at the box office and created history across the world with bumper earnings, but the Hindi version of the film flopped at the box office.
The film was a flop in the Hindi version
Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ was a complete action-packed film, the story of which was also the much talked about acting of all the stars. It was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. According to the SACNILC report, ‘Vikram’ did a business of Rs 247 crore across the country. At the same time, the film grossed Rs 414 crore worldwide. But if we talk about its Hindi version, it earned only Rs 10.25 crore at the box office.
‘Indian 2’ will release on July 12
These days Kamal Haasan is in discussion about his upcoming film ‘Indian 2’. The film will hit the theaters on July 12, 2024. Directed by Shankar, the film is a sequel to the 1996 release Indian. After ‘Vikram’, Kamal Haasan will once again be seen in an action avatar in ‘Indian 2’.
Kamal Haasan’s film will knock after 28 years
Interestingly, before the release of ‘Indian 2’, ‘Indian’ will hit the theaters once again. Recently the makers announced that after 28 years the film will release in Telugu and Tamil languages on June 7, 2024.
