The actress, who made her debut 27 years ago, now shares her heartfelt feelings saying that she was uncomfortable doing a romantic scene with an older hero.

Bollywood actress Esha Koppikar recently opened up about her struggles and challenges in Bollywood. Apart from sharing her MeToo story, the actress also spoke about feeling uncomfortable working with older actors due to the age difference between the lead pair. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Esha said that sometimes romancing older actors feels like “hugging your father”.

Recalling her experience in the Hindi film industry, Isha said, “When you work with someone 30 or 20 years older than you, you feel uncomfortable. I felt uncomfortable when I was working with an older hero. You don’t feel like you’re hugging your spouse or lover, you feel like you’re hugging your dad. I thought so. I was new and thought this was normal. you are an actor You focus on your character and forget that they are old. You will not feel uncomfortable with all this.

He further added, “They should understand what they look like and act accordingly. I hope this changes because the audience is not stupid. I have seen them saying ‘Yeh Kitna Buddha Lag Raha Hai’ in theatres, sitting at home. Romancing a girl his daughter’s age. They say this openly because of social media.

Talking about Isha Koppikar’s work front, Isha made her acting debut with the Telugu film – W/o V.Vara Prasad. Her first Bollywood film was Fiza starring Hrithik Roshan and Karisma Kapoor. He later acted in films like Company, Kante, Pinjar, LoC Kargil, Kya Kool Hai Hum, 36 China Town and Hello. The actress was recently seen in Shiv Karthikeyan-Rakul Preet Singh’s Tamil science-fiction film – Ayalan.
