The biggest upset of the T20 World Cup, Afghanistan beat Australia

New Delhi. Perhaps the biggest upset in the history of the ICC T20 World Cup has been witnessed this time. Afghanistan team registered a victory against Australia in a very exciting match. Batting first, the team scored 148 runs for 6 wickets with the help of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran’s fifties. After losing the toss, the Afghan team came to bat first and a century partnership between openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran gave them a strong start. Both the batsmen were dismissed after scoring fifty. With the help of Gurbaz’s 60 runs and Zadran’s 51 runs, the Afghan team made a score to struggle with.

Gulbadin turned the match around
Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen ul Haq gave Australia the opening jolt and got off to a perfect start to the match. Captain Rashid Khan handed over the bowling to Gulbuddin Naib and everything changed. This experienced player took four wickets one after the other and dashed Australia’s hopes. He took 4 big wickets giving 20 runs in 4 overs. Gulbadin took the big wickets of in-form Marcus Stoinis and half-century-scoring Glenn Maxwell.
