The cheapest petrol in India is almost 35 times more expensive than the cheapest petrol in the world.

Petrol Diesel Price 26 June 2024: Iran, Libya and Venezuela are countries in the world where a liter of petrol costs less than a cup of tea. Petrol sold in these countries is almost 35 times more expensive than the cheapest petrol in India. Today the cheapest petrol in Port Blair is Rs 82.42 per litre. Here diesel is also being sold at a price of just Rs 78.01 per liter as compared to other cities in India.

According to the global petrol price, one liter of petrol costs Rs 2.38 in Iran, Rs 2.57 in Libya and Rs 2.92 in Venezuela. Petrol is being sold at less than Rs 30 per liter in four countries. In two countries it is below Rs 40 and in six countries it is between Rs 41 and Rs 50.

Petrol 100 to 150 rupees per liter in 80 countries

In 80 countries of the world, the price of petrol ranges from 100 rupees to 150 rupees per litre. While the price of one liter of petrol in 26 countries is Rs 151 to Rs 190.83 per litre. Hong Kong is the only country where petrol is the most expensive in the world at Rs 270.28 per litre.

Crude oil close to $85 per barrel: If we talk about crude oil, it is currently below $90 per barrel. According to Bloomberg Energy, Brent crude for August futures is at $85.05 a barrel. At the same time, August WTI futures are at $80.94 per barrel.

How much petrol and diesel are available in India today?

Oil Marketing Petroleum Companies Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. And Hindustan Petroleum Corporation has announced the rates of petrol and diesel. There has been no change in fuel rates.

In Agra, petrol is being sold at Rs 94.37 per liter and diesel at Rs 87.41. Petrol in Lucknow is Rs 94.65 per liter while diesel is Rs 87.76 per litre. In Varanasi, petrol is Rs 95.50 and diesel is Rs 88.66 per litre. In Mumbai, petrol is Rs 104.21 and diesel is Rs 92.15 per litre. While in Delhi, the price of a liter of petrol is Rs 94.72 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.62.
