According to a report in the Economic Times, the first budget of the third term of the Narendra Modi government may be presented on July 22.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in February this year. But it was not a complete budget. Now that the elections are over and the new government has been formed, the budget for the current financial year will be presented by the finance minister.

All eyes will be on the budget this time. The government may announce some major schemes to address issues like unemployment. Also, the already ongoing plans can be taken forward. The government can spend more money on the infrastructure sector than in previous years.

Along with all this, the government will also try to reduce the fiscal deficit. GST can be made easier by keeping in mind the problems of traders.

Government is working on 100 days agenda

During the election campaign, PM Narendra Modi talked about setting the agenda for 100 days. Now in such a situation those scheduled programs can be carried forward through the budget. Also, the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme can be extended.

The first session will start from June 24

The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on June 24. In this session MPs will be sworn in. A new Lok Sabha Speaker will be elected. On June 27, President Draupadi Murmu will address a joint meeting of both houses. And will put the agenda of the government in front of everyone. Ministers will also be presented by PM Modi in this session.
