New Delhi. South Africa’s veteran wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock continues his explosive performance in the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8. De Kock stole the show in his second Super 8 match with his second consecutive half-century. He scored a fifty off just 22 balls in the ongoing match against England. He was dismissed for 65 runs. He hit 4 fours and 4 sixes in 38 balls in this innings. Earlier, in his first Super 8 match, de Kock scored 70 runs in 40 balls against America.

In this ongoing match in St Lucia, England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and invited South Africa (England vs South Africa) to bat first. Quinton de Kock and Riza Hendricks gave South Africa a brilliant start. Both completed the team’s fifty in the 5th over. England’s score in 10 overs was 87 runs without loss.

De Kock got his life on 58 runs
Quinton de Kock got a lifeline on a personal score of 58. Mark Wood gave him life off spinner Adil Rashid. On the second ball of the 9th over, De Kock tried to play a big shot which was caught by Mark Wood a few steps away from the boundary. The field umpire gave de Kock out but de Kock requested the umpire to send him to the TV umpire. The third umpire felt that Mark Wood could not take a clean catch. De Kock was declared not out in such a situation.
