Rishi Kapoor was in danger due to Mithun Chakraborty’s mistake
This story is from the year 1978. The shooting of the film ‘Phool Khele Hain Gulshan Gulshan’ was going on. The film was directed by Sikandar Khanna and the star cast included Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor, Ashok Kumar, Mausumi Chatterjee, Mukri, Asrani, Helen and Ranjith. According to media reports, while shooting for a scene in the film, director Sikander Khanna asked Mithun if he knew how to drive, to which Mithun was a bit scared and he said yes without thinking. He felt that if he refused, he might lose the film.
When the shooting of the scene started, Mithun Chakraborty drove the car at high speed and braked it while approaching Rishi Kapoor and Mukri. So that both can get into the car quickly. Hearing this, Mithun Chakraborty’s condition worsened. He couldn’t figure out how to cover up his lie. Finally he started speeding but as he reached Rishi Kapoor, he braked so fast that Rishi Kapoor’s face hit the bonnet of the car. Blood started coming out of his mouth. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured and survived. Perhaps, if the car had not been controlled in time, Rishi Kapoor would have been seriously injured or his life would have been in danger.
