Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) recently won the IPL 2024 trophy in spectacular fashion. KKR beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in a one-sided final. KKR players had a flying kiss celebration after winning the title. KKR owner and superstar Shah Rukh Khan gave the idea to celebrate the entire team in this way. He not only made the players celebrate but also himself. KKR’s young fast bowler Harshit Rana has revealed Shah Rukh’s ‘secret plan’. 22 Harshit has performed amazingly throughout the season. He took 19 wickets in 13 matches.
Let us tell you that Harshit gave a flying kiss to SRH batsman Mayank Agarwal after dismissing him in the league stage of the 17th season. He faced fines for this action. Harshit, meanwhile, was supposed to celebrate by giving Abhishek Porel a flying kiss after sending him to the pavilion in the match against Delhi Capitals but stopped. However, after this match, the fast bowler had to face a one-match ban. He was also fined 100 percent of his match fee. But it was not clear what Harshit did during the match, which led to strict action.
After becoming the IPL 2024 champion, Harshit said that the idea of the flying kiss celebration was Shahrukh Khan’s. Indeed, while talking to Express Sports, Harshit was asked if the flying kiss celebration with Shah Rukh had already been decided? The fast bowler replied, “Yes, I was very sad when I faced the one-match ban. Then Shahrukh sir came to me and said that we will celebrate IPL with flying kisses. He promised me and made sure we did it with the trophy.” KKR ended the title drought after 10 years and won the third trophy.
Apart from this, Harshit talked about the Delhi players. He is a resident of Delhi. He said that the aggressiveness of players like Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma is amazing and they have achieved a lot. The young pacer said, “Delhi boys play cricket with heart. Delhi’s aggression made Virat Kohli a Virat, Ishant Sharma played 100 Tests, Rishabh Pant did wonders at the Gabba, Gautam Gambhir scored 2 runs for India. World Cup Won the final.” Gambhir is currently KKR’s mentor. KKR had previously won the title in 2012 and 2014 under Gambhir’s captaincy.
