British Pakistani actor Ali Khan has appeared in many Hindi cinema films. Recently, Ali Khan was also seen in Zoya Akhtar’s film ‘The Archies’. Ali Khan recently shared his experiences of working in Bollywood in an interview. Meanwhile, he told about an incident that happened on the sets of the film Kamasutra directed by Meera Nair. He told how actor Naveen Andrews got angry with director Mira Nair and threw a king’s ring in the forest.

There was a fight between the director and the actor
In an interview to Pakistan’s Dawn News, Ali Khan was asked if he had witnessed any shameful behavior of actors on the sets during his time. In response, Ali said, “I have worked with many experienced people here in Pakistan, and I have seen some of them throw chairs and throw tantrums…” Furthermore, Ali shared a picture from the sets of the 1996 film ‘Kamasutra: A Tale of Love’. Narrated the incident, where actor Naveen Andrews left the set in anger and shouted at the director.
Ripped the dress in anger
Ali Khan said, “I have worked with an actor who was in Mira Nair’s film Kamasutra. I can also say his name is Naveen Andrews.” He was playing the role of a king in this film and had an argument with the director over some issue. Shooting was going on in Jaipur. He angrily tore off his outfit and left the set.
The ring was thrown into the forest
Ali Khan revealed that Meera had borrowed a family ring from a Gujarat maharaja for the film’s shoot, Naveen was shouting angrily as he was leaving and took out the same ring and showed it to Meera saying, “You can do it. Look at this ring.” Saying this he threw the ring beyond the fort wall into the forest below.
After this incident, there was complete silence on the set. After this, all the set lights were immediately turned towards the forest and spot boys were sent down the fort wall with the help of a rope to search for the ring, but the ring was not found. Ali said that even after this incident Meera made Naveen a part of her next project. Recalling this incident, Ali said that this is the power of stardom and charisma.
