UGC Fee Refund Policy 2024-25: UGC Released Fee Refund Policy 2024-25, Students Will Benefit

UGC (University Grants Commission) has released the fee refund policy for the academic year 2024-25. If a student, after enrolling in any university or college in 2024-25, withdraws from it before September 30, the university or college will refund his full fee. The UGC took this decision in its 580th meeting held on May 15. The UGC announced the 2024-25 fee refund policy on June 12. UGC has issued a notice regarding fee refund policy.

According to the 2024-25 fee refund policy, if a student leaves his/her sheet before September 30, his/her full fee will be refunded. If a student submits his/her sheet by 31st October then the institute will charge only Rs. 1,000 can be deducted. If a student leaves his/her sheet after 1 month or 30 days of admission, his/her fee will not be refunded if a college or university does not follow these rules. UGC will take strict action against them and may even cancel their recognition.

UGC Secretary Professor Manish Joshi has issued these instructions to universities and colleges of all states on June 12. Students or their guardians can complain to the UGC if any institute or college does not follow these rules.

UGC has taken this important decision in the interest of students. So that in 2024-25 no student has to face any kind of problem in getting admission in any institution or university. Often many educational institutions do not refund the fee sheet of children after leaving, which makes it difficult for them to get admission in other colleges or universities. UGC has made this important policy keeping in mind the interest of children of such educational institutions.
