UGC NET Admit Card OUT, ugcnet.nta.ac.in: National Testing Agency has released the admit card of UGC NET exam. Candidates can download their admit card by visiting ugcnet.nta.ac.in. A few days before this NTA announced the exam city so that candidates can know in which city their exam is being held. The UGC NET exam will be held on June 18, 2024. The exam will be conducted in the morning shift from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and in the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam will be conducted in pen paper mode in 83 subjects. Let us tell you that the UGC NET exam for Junior Professor Fellowship and Assistant Professor is conducted twice a year in universities and other higher education institutions across the country. This time UGC NET score will be accepted as admission to Ph.D.

With UGC NET score one can take admission in Ph.D
The UGC NET 2024 score can be used for admission to PhD degree courses in lieu of entrance exams conducted by various universities and higher educational institutions.
Students will be divided into these three categories based on their performance in the UGC NET exam. UGC NET students will be eligible in following 3 categories-
Category 1 will include those candidates who are eligible for all three, PhD, admission to JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor.
Category 2 will be candidates who are eligible for admission to Ph.D. and appointment as Assistant Professors.
Candidates falling in category 3 will be eligible for admission only to Ph.D.
For PhD admission, NET scores obtained by candidates in category 2 and 3 will be valid for a period of one year.
Minimum passing marks
Insecure category – 40 percent
Reserved category – 35 percent
In UGC NET, candidates have to clear each paper separately. In Paper 1, candidates from unreserved category have to secure 40 marks out of 100, while candidates from reserved category have to secure 35 marks out of 100. In Paper 2, unreserved candidates will have to secure 70-75 marks out of 200 while the minimum marks for OBC and EWS category candidates will be 65 to 70. It is 60 to 65 for SC and 55 to 60 for ST.
