The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted UGC-NET with reference to the Union Ministry of Education. Paper leak case An FIR was registered against unknown persons on Thursday. The CBI has registered an FIR under Sections 120B and 420 of the IPC and proceeded with the investigation. According to sources, the CBI has received information that the UGC NET exam is likely to be leaked on June 16. Also, according to sources, CBI has received inputs to sell this paper for 5 to 6 lakh rupees. The exam was conducted in two shifts on June 18 and on the next day i.e. June 19, the Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs received inputs that something might go wrong in the exam.

The papers circulated on social media

According to sources, the exam paper was circulated on darknet and encrypted social media platforms on the 16th. So far CBI has not been able to find out who leaked the exam and from where. The CBI is in touch with people from the National Testing Agency (NTA) whose responsibility it was to conduct the exam and secure the exam papers.

Secretary of the Ministry of Education K. Sanjay Murthy lodged a written complaint with the CBI on June 20. On which the CBI has registered an FIR of conspiracy and fraud against unknown persons and started questioning and investigation of people from NTA and some different organizations.

UGC-NET is an examination to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD in Indian Universities and Colleges. This time the exam was conducted in two shifts across the country on June 18.
