UNICEF gave Kareena Kapoor a big responsibility, made her a national ambassador, the actress said- ‘I am proud…’

New Delhi. Kareena Kapoor Khan’s previous film ‘Crew’ was a hit at the box office. Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon’s chemistry in the film received tremendous response from the audience. Kareena Kapoor is once again in the headlines these days, but this time the reason the actress is in the news is not because of her film. On 4 May, UNICEF India announced Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan as its new National Ambassador.

After being made UNICEF India’s National Ambassador, the ‘Crew’ actress said her journey with UNICEF India spanned a decade. Kareena has been associated with UNICEF since 2014. She is supporting UNICEF in advancing every child’s early development, health, education and gender equality rights.

Kareena Kapoor shared a photo of the event on social media and wrote a long post thanking UNICEF. Kareena wrote in her post, ‘It was an emotional day for me. I am proud to be the National Ambassador of UNICEF India. The last 10 years journey with this organization has been very good.

She further writes, ‘I would also like to congratulate UNICEF India and celebrate 75 years of their incredible impact on the lives of children in India.’ Kareena Kapoor further said that she will continue to work with UNICEF for the welfare of children.
