To make the youth technologically competent, the government has now given free choice to the candidates to choose their option for admission in government and private ITIs. Under this any candidate can voluntarily opt for any district, institute and course of the state in the order of preference of Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ Government and Private ITIs.
In the earlier system, a maximum of three districts, six institutes and 10 professions could be opted for admission to government ITIs, while for private ITIs, the limit was up to a maximum of 25 institutes in three districts. Minister of State for Skill Development, Vocational Education and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that a new arrangement has been made for the academic session 2024-25.
Selection of 150 youth in campus drive
150 candidates were selected in a campus drive held at Government ITI, Aliganj on Wednesday. ITI Principal Rajkumar Yadav inaugurated the campus drive. Placement Officer MA Khan said that Haridwar’s Hero Motocorp Ltd. Trainees of many ITI courses participated in the campus drive organized by ITI. The company offered a job with a salary of Rs 22500 per month and other facilities.
