Rolls-Royce fatal accident: The Rolls-Royce Phantom, one of the most expensive vehicles in the world, met with an accident three days ago near Nuh in Haryana. The accident took place on the Delhi Mumbai Vadodara Green Field Expressway. This luxury (Rolls Royce Accident Video) car was burnt to ashes after colliding with a diesel tanker. The estimated price of this car was around 12 crore 41 lakh. Although the car was burnt in the accident, three passengers from Chandigarh, Delhi and Gurugram who were sitting in it suffered minor injuries. While 2 people aboard the tanker died on the spot. Meanwhile, the NDTV team inspected the accident site. Let’s understand how this accident happened and how a luxury car with so many safety measures got burnt to ashes.
The accident took place on August 22 at Umri village on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. CCTV footage of the accident has also surfaced, revealing that the Rolls Royce driver was at fault for the accident. In fact, drag marks can be seen after a collision between a luxury car and a tanker on the highway. By looking at the marks, it can be understood that the diesel tanker was trying to take a U-turn. Meanwhile, the speeding Rolls Royce collided with the tanker coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so strong that the tanker overturned on its side. In which two people sitting inside died on the spot.
According to the police, the speed of the Rolls Royce was 200 km per hour. There were three people on board who sustained minor injuries. He was taken to Gurugram for treatment.
The Rolls Royce was part of a convoy of 20 cars, with red lights and security personnel in blue safari suits, a police official said. CCTV footage shows the convoy in Alipore heading towards Rajasthan at 11.11 am. It collided with a tanker at the 40.9 km mark of the expressway in Nooh.
A Noah police official said three fire brigade vehicles were used to douse the fire in the Rolls Royce, but by the time it was extinguished, the car was completely gutted. The official said that it is a matter of luck that the tanker did not spill diesel after the collision. If the diesel had leaked, the accident could have been more serious.
