Villagers hand over five accused to police in Noah violence: Officers

Residents of Singer village handed over five wanted accused in Haryana’s Nooh communal violence to the police on July 31. Repeated appeals were made to the police and the administration regarding the accused. The official gave this information on Monday. The police spokesperson said that after the arrest, all the five accused have been interrogated. According to the police, so far 60 FIRs have been registered and 264 accused have been arrested in the Braj Mandal violence case. A case has been registered against 11 people and one accused has been arrested for spreading rumors on social media.

The spokesperson said, “Former sarpanch Hanif, Altaf, Ibrahim Chaudhary, Taiyab, former chairman Sakit and other villagers of Singer reached Bichur police station on Sunday and handed over the five accused Zubair, Salman, Ansar, Rafiq and Abu Bakar to the police. .”

After the Noah violence, raids are being conducted to nab the accused.

District Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata and Superintendent of Police Narendra Bijarnia have held meetings with prominent people of 262 villages to maintain peace and ensure that the accused surrender before the police.

Noah witnessed communal violence after a mob attacked the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Braj Mandal Yatra on July 31, killing six people, including two home guards and an imam.
