New Delhi. 90s superstar actress Rani Mukherjee returned to the silver screen last year with ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway’. He made a comeback after 2 years with his brilliant performance in this film. Despite belonging to a filmy family, everyone around Kajol’s cousin Rani Mukerji was active in films in one way or another, but the actress did not want to step into the world of acting.
In an interview to Pinkvilla, Rani Mukherjee revealed that she had absolutely no interest in acting and had to try her luck in films due to financial constraints. The actress said that her parents never talked about money at home and hence she had no idea that there was a financial problem in her home.
Rani Mukherjee said that when she grew up, she started getting film offers and her mother asked her to try her hand at acting. According to the actress, her mother told her that if she is not interested in films, she can go back and continue her studies. At that time Rani Mukherjee did not realize that the financial condition of her household was bad and because of this she was adamant about not doing films. However, after his mother persuaded him, he entered films and then his fortune began to shine.
The actress further said in her interview, ‘I never thought about it, no child thinks that their parents are going through a financial crisis. The lifestyle my parents gave me and my brother was quite comfortable, but I am thankful that I got into films on my mother’s insistence and today I love my profession very much.

Rani Mukherjee made her acting debut in the year 1996 with the Bengali film ‘Biyar Phool’. After that, Rani stepped into Hindi films with ‘Raja Ki Ayegi Baaraat’. According to DNA report, Rani Mukherjee’s total wealth in 2023 is Rs 200 crores.
