Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the BRICS Business Forum in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the PM described India as a welcoming destination for investment and said that the country’s dangerous red-tapism has now turned into a ‘red carpet’. Prime Minister Modi is currently on a trip to South Africa to attend the BRICS summit. It is the first such summit of the BRICS member group of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa since 2019, with all leaders attending in person. From the year 2020, due to the Kovid-19 pandemic, the BRICS conference was being held online.
