New Delhi. Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade is coming up with his new film ‘Karatam Bhugatam’ after recovering from a heart attack. Its release is almost a week away and these days he is busy promoting the film. Meanwhile, Shreyas Talpade has shared his experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007). He told how Shah Rukh Khan was planning to promote ‘Om Shanti Om’ in a hotel washroom in London.
In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Shreyas Talpade said that Shah Rukh Khan told him during the shoot that ‘Om Shanti Om’ is going to be the biggest film of 2007 and we will do whatever it takes to make it happen. The actor said, ‘We were in the washroom of a hotel in London. Deepika Padukone was giving an interview outside. It’s the evening premiere and he (Shahrukh Khan) says you do one thing and I’ll dance on the red carpet with my songs. We will attract as many people as possible.

Shreyas Talpade said, ‘He never takes anything lightly. He doesn’t think that if I am Shahrukh Khan then people will surely come. He believed that his film has to reach as many people as possible. He was sitting on the pot and I was sitting on the bath tub. We were waiting for Deepika Padukone’s interview to finish, then one of us would go out and do the interview.

The actor said, ‘He reached my room at 10.30 pm and knocked on the gate. At that time Deepti (wife) and I were preparing for bed. I thought the room service person had come to give me a bottle of water, but when I opened the gate, there was Shah Rukh Khan standing in front. He said would he keep him standing outside? After this he came inside the room and told us the complete schedule for the next day and what we have to do. Where is the press conference, what kind of activities to do, everything. Shah Rukh Khan was planning all this till 11 pm in a hotel room in London. People think that someone from Shah Rukh Khan’s PR team will come and plan all this, but it’s not like that, he made the whole plan himself.
‘Om Shanti Om’ became a blockbuster 17 years ago
Let us tell you that Shreyas Talpade played the role of Pappu in Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’, which was well liked. Apart from Deepika Padukone, Kiron Kher, Arjun Rampal were also a part of this film. Released in 2007, ‘Om Shanti Om’ proved to be a blockbuster at the box office.
