The sixth match of Super 8 of T20 World Cup 2024 is being played between West Indies and USA in Barbados. In this match West Indies team defeated USA by only 128 runs. At one point it looked as if the USA, the joint hosts of the tournament, would get close to 150, but the bowlers of the Caribbean team put in a strong performance to restrict the USA to 128 runs. The West Indies team will want to register a big win in this match, as West Indies will have to finish this match quickly to stay in the race for the semi-finals.
West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and chose to bowl. In such a situation USA team came to bat first and the team’s first wicket fell for 3 runs. No wickets fell for 50 runs after this, so everyone thought Team USA would achieve a respectable score, but wickets started to fall as soon as the second wicket fell in 51 runs and the team were all out for 128 in 19.5 overs. All out in the over. Several USA batsmen started, but none could turn it into a big innings.

Andreas Gaus scored 29 off 16 balls for USA while Nitish Kumar scored 20 off 19 balls. 19 runs came from the bat of Milind Kumar and Harmeet Singh played an innings of 18 runs. Ali Khan returned unbeaten scoring 14 runs. Andre Russell took 3 wickets and Roston Chase took the same number of wickets from West Indies. Alzari Joseph got two wickets and Gudakesh Moti got one. Joseph became the joint first wicket-taker for West Indies in the T20 World Cup. Samuel Badri took only 11 wickets in 2014.
