New Delhi. The battle for the semifinals in the ICC T20 World Cup just got more interesting. So far only 1 team from Super 8 has been confirmed. The England team has secured a ticket to the semi-finals with a brilliant 10-wicket win against America. The Australian team is going to play a do-or-die match against India. This time the ICC has made a schedule in which the Kangaroo team has to play two matches in two consecutive days. The team will not get a chance to rest.
The Super 8 match will end on June 25. All the semi-final teams will be confirmed with the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. Of the four teams in Group 1, India’s claim seems to be the strongest. The Australian team had to face defeat against Afghanistan. After this defeat, they will have to beat India by a huge margin or their hopes of reaching the semi-finals will be almost over. The biggest hurdle facing the team is that they have to play matches on the second day in a row.

The Australian team played their match against the Afghanistan team in the Super 8 of the ICC T20 World Cup on Sunday, June 23. The team has to play another match against India on the next day, Monday i.e. June 24. It is very difficult for any team to play two matches in two days. Players do not get a chance to rest to recover from fatigue. Surprisingly, the Australian team is so professional that no issue has been raised about it. If this had happened to Pakistan, everyone from the former players to the cricket board would have raised an uproar over it.
