Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Rashid Khan has said how Pakistan team should be in the first match of T20 World Cup 2024. He has also asked the batting order to open with Babar Azam Mohammad Rizwan. Rashid Latif has said that he has selected the team according to the available players. Latif did not pick Mohammad Haris and Salman Ali Agha in his playing eleven for the first match. He says these players can be played if they are available for selection.

While selecting Pakistan’s playing XI, Rashid Latif wrote in his post, “Team playing XI available for first match: One player from Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Haris.” He did not include these two players in his playing eleven, as these players might not be available due to injury. He has selected Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed in the final eleven.
