Although a reserve day has also been kept for this match, the umpires will try their best to get the result of the match today itself. According to ICC rules, a full match will be 40 overs if the game does not start for more than 60 minutes. So if the match starts at 9 PM IST then the entire game will be watched. How long is a 10-10 over match possible?
Each team has to bat at least 10 overs to continue the match. In this case, there is a buffer time of 190 minutes. This means that a 10-over game per team cannot start after 11.10 pm IST. If even after this the match cannot start then it will be cancelled. After this, the match will be played on the reserve day on the next day.

If the match cannot be played even on the reserve day due to rain, the umpire will organize a super over. The winning team in the Super Over will also win the World Cup. If the super-over cannot be played due to rain, the two teams will be declared joint World Cup winners.
