CM Arvind Kejriwal has been granted regular bail in money laundering case related to Delhi Liquor Policy scam case. But the ED is opposing his bail. The Enforcement Directorate has approached the Delhi High Court against Kejriwal’s bail. ED has challenged the Rouse Avenue court’s decision in the High Court. The court has granted bail to the Delhi Chief Minister on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and he may come out of Tihar Jail today. But ED doesn’t want him to come out of jail. Even before he comes out of jail, ED has approached the High Court. When the Rouse Avenue court granted bail to Kejriwal, the ED opposed it and sought 48 hours. But the court rejected this argument of ED. But now ED has reached the High Court.
The Enforcement Directorate has requested the court to stay the trial court’s decision to grant bail to Kejriwal. ASG SV Raju, representing the ED, told the Delhi High Court that the trial court’s order has not been uploaded yet and the circumstances are not known. Copy of order not received yet. He has said that the investigating agency was not given full opportunity to oppose the bail application. He has appealed to the High Court to stay the order of the trial court and to hear the case at the earliest.
