The Indian team is likely to reach New Delhi at 6 am on Thursday. After being stranded in Barbados for three days due to a category four storm, the Indian team finally left for Delhi via a special flight from the Grantley Adams International Airport on Wednesday.

The Indian team will arrive at 6.20 am

Air India’s special aircraft AIC24WC (Air India Champions 24 World Cup) will take off at around 4:50 am local time and reach Delhi at 6:20 am IST on Thursday. The plane is carrying the Indian team, its support staff, players’ families, some officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and some members of the Indian media. This special flight has been arranged by BCCI.

Meeting with Prime Minister Modi at 11 o’clock

“The team departed from Barbados on a special Air India flight provided by the BCCI,” BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla told PTI. Indian journalists stranded in Barbados are also coming on the same flight with BCCI President (Roger Binny) and Secretary (Jai Shah).
He said, “The flight will land at Delhi airport at 6 am tomorrow. Team Prime Minister at 11 am Narendra Modi Meet at his residence. After this the team will travel to Mumbai where an event has been organized in their honour.

Mumbai at 4 pm, the parade will start at 5 pm

“A road show will be held in an open bus from Nariman Point after which the players will be felicitated with an announced prize money of Rs 125 crore,” Shukla said. ‘National Center for Performing Arts’ (NCPA) from where they will start the two-hour parade in an open bus. The open bus parade will start from NCPA near Nariman Point at 5 pm and will reach Wankhede Stadium after a journey of about two hours.

Honors program from 7 to 7:30 p.m

A felicitation program to honor the players and team members will be held from 7 to 7:30 pm, after which the players will leave for their hotels. BCCI Secretary Shah welcomed all sports lovers to participate in the ‘Victory Parade’ on Thursday evening.
