US President Joe Biden is visiting India and Vietnam.
The US President may discuss many important issues during his visit to India.
New Delhi. The US President will arrive in India today at 7 pm to attend the G20 Summit in Delhi. Shortly after his arrival in India, his bilateral talks with PM Modi will take place at 7:45 pm. Joe Biden will discuss Ukraine, climate change and other global issues with India and various countries around the world during the G20 conference and his visit to India. Joe Biden will attend the G20 conference and then leave for a tour of Vietnam from India.
Strategically, Biden’s visit to India and Vietnam is also being seen as a message to counter China’s influence. During the G-20 conference, US President Biden will focus on strengthening the World Bank and the IMF to free countries in Africa and Asia from China’s debt policy and reduce China’s influence. China provides loans under the One Belt and One Road initiative. The purpose of which is to trap the poor and developing countries in its clutches.
With this visit, the US President is trying to curb China’s influence. Biden has welcomed India’s proposal and initiative to include the African Union in the G20 with the aim of reducing China’s influence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden will hold bilateral talks on Friday evening which are likely to focus on further strengthening the India-US comprehensive global and strategic partnership. The two leaders are expected to review ongoing bilateral cooperation in areas such as clean energy, trade, high technology, defence. Along with this, they can also discuss how both the countries can contribute in facing some of the serious challenges of the world.
