What is the strategy of PM Modi regarding corruption in the next tenure?
PM Modi said that the people of India are tired of corruption. Like termites, corruption is hollowing out all systems of the country. Many voices are raised against corruption. During the 2013-14 elections, when I was giving speeches and talking about corruption, people were expressing their anger. People wanted something to happen. Now we came and stressed on doing those things systematically, what are the flaws in the system, if the country is driven by policy then things are available in black and white that you can do this, you can’t do this. This is your limit, if you want to go beyond this limit you cannot do it, someone else will, I emphasized.
The PM said that India is full of diversity and no country can be big on one pillar. I took a mission. Emphasis on ‘One District, One Product’ for each district, why? India is such a diverse country, each district has its own strength. I want us to bring this up to the public and today, if I ever go abroad, what things would I take with me? There is no confusion. I only see ‘one district, one product’ list. So, I think I will take this if I go to Europe. If I go to Africa, I will take this. And, everyone feels in one country. This is one aspect.
How does PM Modi connect with voters for the first time?
First, I understand their aspirations. The old thinking that if it was five in the house before, now nine out of seven will go to seven, is not the case. He wants to go from five straight to 100. Today’s youth want to take a big leap in every field. We must create that launching pad, so that we can fulfill the aspirations of our youth. So the youth should understand. I do ‘Pariksha Pe Debsha’ and I find that I get a chance to talk to millions of youngsters who discuss ‘Pariksha Pe Debsha’. But, he talks to me after 10 years. It means it is a new generation. If the government and its leadership fail to understand the aspirations of this new generation, there will be a huge gap.
