Will PCB sacrifice Babar again? After losing the World Cup, the captaincy has been taken away, even the captain does not know his future

New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team and its captain Babar Azam are on target after being knocked out in the first round of the T20 World Cup. Once again the same situation has arisen in Pakistan cricket which was 6-7 months ago. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) then stripped Babar Azam of the captaincy after losing the ODI World Cup. Now Pakistan has been embarrassed again in the T20 World Cup. Coincidentally, Babur was the captain again. So can Babar himself give up the captaincy or will the board remove him or will he get another chance? Babar Azam answered many such questions.

Babar Azam said that he has not thought about giving up the captaincy. Any decision regarding this will be taken after discussion with PCB. Pakistan was the runner-up in the last T20 World Cup (2022). This time she lost her opening match in Group A and did not even make it to the Super-8 stage.

Pakistan somehow salvaged their embarrassment by defeating Ireland in the final group match of the T20 World Cup. Asked after the match whether he had any plans to resign, Babar Azam said, ‘When I go back, we will discuss what has happened here. If I have to step down as captain, I will tell you this decision openly. I won’t reveal anything behind the scenes. Whatever happens will happen in front of everyone.

Babar Azam said that the PCB has handed him back the captaincy and any decision on his continuation will be his. He said, ‘I haven’t thought about it. The decision rests with the PCB.

Babar Azam said, ‘When I gave up the captaincy (after the ODI World Cup), I thought that I should not take this responsibility in future. So I left it. I announced it myself. Then when they (PCB) gave it back to me, it was their decision.
