New Delhi. It takes both day and night hard work and lots of people’s money to make a film. The makers shoot for hours to perfect each scene. ‘Pathan’, ‘Gadar-2’ and then ‘Jawaan’ created a buzz at the box office. These films grossed many times their budget and posed a major challenge to other producers. A film released last week amid back-to-back hits. It has been more than 6 days since the release of this huge budget film, but the audience is eagerly waiting for the film.
Vikas Bahl is one of those Bollywood directors who created a special place in the hearts of people by directing his films. Recently he has made a sci-fi thriller film made on a budget of 200 crores. Recently, while unveiling the film, the director said that he had doubts after hearing the story of the film. Recently, he also revealed the challenges he faced during the making of the film.
‘I don’t even know how to say it’
Recently, during an interview, Vikas Bahl spoke about Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon’s film ‘Ganapat’. He said the film is based on the dystopian 2077, with Tiger Shroff playing a messiah-like character. He said, ‘I was writing this story and as I kept writing this story also changed with time. I didn’t realize when this story became the story of the future, then I realized that I had put myself in this situation where I had created this story that I didn’t even know how to tell, but I knew I had. To do this.’
What was the biggest challenge while making the film?
He called the subject and style of the film his biggest challenge. He said, ‘When you tell a story based on the future, you haven’t seen it. No one has. Everyone has their own version running in their mind. There is no right or wrong. 30 years from now we don’t know if we will be in flying cars or back in bullock carts. I wanted to make everyone conform to my vision and also hear from my team what their vision was, what their version was.
When at every moment the director felt – ‘Why is there a mess?’
Vikas Bahl recently said, ‘Every second of this trip I thought why this mess, why did I get into this? I thought I could stay in my comfort zone, but it was a good feeling. That doubt and panic was constant. I never gave it up because I wanted to feel that way, so I could keep learning. I always want to be a student. It is necessary to learn nervousness. That learning may be technical or emotional, but you have to keep doing it.
