IIT BHU has received 27 new placement offers along with three pre-placement offers. According to the figures released by the IITs on Thursday, the total number of PPOs has increased to 310. The number of placements with PPO has now reached 951. That means the number of offers received during the placement drive has now reached 641. This time around 1700 students had registered for the placement. The placement will last till December 30.
A student of IIT Bhubaneswar will get Rs. 64 lakh package
IIT Bhubaneswar students have received 200 job offers in the first 10 days of campus placement. So far, the highest placement offer given to a student this year is Rs. 64 lakhs. IIT Bhubaneswar has conducted 12 placement drives since 2012. This year, 500 companies including BPCL, HPCL, Reliance Industries, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Accenture Japan, Salesforce and Fortune are participating in the placement drive here.
19 out of 27 female students will shine in BHU’s convocation.
BHU’s 103rd convocation will be dominated by girl students this year. 31 medals will be distributed to 27 brilliant students in the main convocation ceremony. Out of which 19 are female students. Only two female students have topped BHU at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He will be awarded the Chancellor’s Medal.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain informed about the convocation program in a press conference on Thursday. He said that the main convocation will be held on December 16 at Independence Bhavan. Padmashri, Chief Scientific Advisor to Government of India Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood will address the convocation as the chief guest. 14,600 degrees will be conferred at the ceremony. A total of 539 medals will be awarded this time in various institutes and faculties.
This year, 7693 students are being awarded Bachelor’s degree, 5760 Master’s degree, 986 Ph.D., 29 M.Phil and three D.Litt degrees in the convocation program this year. 19 girls and 8 boys are among the medal recipients at the main convocation this year.
