3 Khalistani terrorists convicted in plot to kill Indian-origin radio host in New Zealand

Three Khalistan terrorists have been convicted and sentenced for the attempted assassination of popular Auckland-based radio host Harnek Singh. The Australia Today reported that Harnek Singh has been vocal against the ideology of Khalistan. Sarvajit Sidhu, 27, was convicted of attempted murder, while Sukhpreet Singh, 44, was convicted of aiding and abetting the attempted murder.

A third man, a 48-year-old Auckland resident, whose name has not been released, reported Australia Today, citing the NZ Herald. It is being said that the attack was planned out of resentment against Harnek Singh for voicing the separatist movement. During the hearing of the case, Judge Mark Woolford emphasized the need for community safety and strict measures against religious fanaticism.
