Gift to employees of Meghalaya

Recently Meghalaya Chief Minister Konrad K. Sangma announced early release of December salaries for 55,000 government employees and a three percent increase in dearness allowance. The chief minister also shared an office memorandum of the finance department on the social media platform, in which it has been decided to increase the dearness allowance for employees and pensioners from the current 36 per cent to 39 per cent with effect from July 1.
