UPSC Success Story: Every year only a few out of lakhs of candidates clear India’s toughest exam to become IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS officers. At the same time, UPSC exam is such that dreams of thousands of candidates remain unfulfilled despite years of hard work, in such a situation few candidates fulfill their dreams. Today we are talking about IPS officer Ankita Sharma.
IPS officer Ankita Sharma failed to crack UPSC twice, but due to her hard work and dedication, she cleared the exam in the third attempt and became an IPS.
Ankita is a resident of Durga, Chhattisgarh. He did his schooling from a village government school. She was very gifted in studies right from the beginning. After school, he pursued a bachelor’s degree and then an MBA course. She wanted to become an IPS officer from the start, but thought it best to complete her studies first. After completing her studies she opted for UPSC and came to Delhi for preparation.
He spent very little time in Delhi for UPSC preparation. She could barely stay in Delhi for six months and had to return home. Now after returning home he has not joined any coaching center for UPSC preparation. After which he thought it best to self-study. However, the first time she took the UPSC exam, she failed.
However, he did not give up and once again decided to take the UPSC exam for the second time. This time too luck did not favor her and she failed UPSC for the second time. After seeing the results, she was a little disappointed, but kept her confidence intact.
His hard work paid off in the third attempt and he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IPS officer by securing the 203rd rank.
