New Delhi. West Indies legend Darren Bravo has announced his decision to stay away from international cricket. This decision is being seen as retirement. He gave this information through a social media post. He was out of the national team since last year. After which he decided to stay away from cricket. Darren Bravo was not selected in the squad for the recently announced ODI series against England. The last time he could play an ODI match was against India.

Darren Bravo wrote in a post on Instagram, “I have taken a lot of time to think about this and what my next step as a cricketer is. It is not easy for me to play international cricket with the same energy, passion, commitment and discipline at this time. Currently, different players are representing the country in all the three formats. There are about 40-45 players. Despite scoring runs, I am not in any team. I didn’t give up. I just decided to get away from it. All the best for the future.”

Let us tell you that Darren Bravo played his last match for West Indies in the year 2022, which was an ODI match against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He also played his last T20 in 2022. He last played Test in 2020.
