Rajesh Khanna’s craze in those days was such that on the day his films were released, school-college students bunked and went to watch his films. Dimple was also one such fan. After watching his film Safar, released in 1970, she went straight to his bungalow. However, the guard did not let him in.
The couple was together for four years
Dimple was just 11 when she reached Rajesh Khanna’s house. Even at this age he was a fan of Rajesh Khanna’s films. She would often bunk school and watch his films. But after the journey she made up her mind to meet him. When Dimple did not agree despite the guard’s persuasion, the guard threw her out, threatening to call the police. After this the actress cried for many days and took a big decision in her life. However, at the age of 15, Dimple got married to her favorite star. The same guards who had once thrown him out were now saluting him.
