Alien solar system with 7 planets found, all larger than Earth, NASA discovers

Alien solar system with seven planets: The biggest question every astronomer wants to answer is, are we alone in the universe…no? But recent research from NASA has provided an answer. NASA’s retired space telescope Kepler recently discovered another solar system similar to ours. Its name is Kepler-385. It also has 7 planets that revolve around a star at the center. The discovery was published in The Journal of Planetary Science.

Kepler-385 is the currently known solar system. It has 7 known planets, but a staggering 4,400 candidate planets. “We’ve made the most accurate list yet of all the Kepler planet candidates and their properties,” said Jack Lissauer, a research scientist at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, California.

Kepler-385 is a Sun-like star at the center of the Solar System, about 10% larger and 5% hotter than our Sun. Its two inner planets, which are slightly larger than Earth, are also probably rocky. And they can also have a thin atmosphere. The other five planets are much larger, each about twice the size of Earth, and are expected to be covered in thick atmospheres.

The new discovery has greatly helped scientists describe the properties of the Kepler-385 system in such detail. The new catalog uses better measurements of stellar properties. Kepler was first discovered in 2013, known as K2, studies continued under this name until 2018. The data obtained from this continued the study of the Milky Way. This new study adds to our understanding of the diverse worlds beyond our solar system.
