Anupam Kher’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was released on 18 March 2022. The film opened its account with just 3.36 crores on the first day, but then due to its association with the Kashmir theme, the film became so popular that it crossed over 2000 screens. After this, The Kashmir Files has made huge profits. The film did a business of around 344 crore rupees across the country.

Directed by Vivek Agranhotri, this film beat the films of all the big stars. Even the makers were not sure that the film would be such a huge success. Movies like Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Jund’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, Ajay Devgn’s ‘Runway’, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Shamshera’, Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Vikramvedh’, Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh’ came out that year. Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’ fell flat at the box office one after another. Along with this, the films of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have not been released at the box office.
