According to an official statement from the state government, Prime Minister Modi is coming to Kashi on September 23 to gift the international cricket stadium in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi to the sports lovers of Purvanchal. According to a government statement, the Uttar Pradesh government has spent Rs 121 crore on land acquisition in the project, while the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will spend Rs 330 crore on the construction of the stadium.

The stadium will be ready in about 30 months near Ring Road in Ganjari village of Rajatalab area of Varanasi.
