Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer action drama ‘Animal’ has become one of the biggest hits of this year. Since its release, the film has been in the news for several reasons. People are divided into two groups on social media. Some people are praising the film while some are criticizing it. The film’s director Sandeep Reddy Vanga spoke openly about ‘Animal’. He explained why the inter-cast marriage between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters was shown.
Sandeep spoke on inter cast marriage
In an interview with Galatta Plus, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that he deliberately did not show the inter-caste marriage between Ranbir and Rashmika. He says, ‘I have seen many Telugu and Tamil families living in Delhi. Maybe I like to see inter-faith and inter-caste marriages.
Why was the kissing scene shown?
There is a kissing scene between Ranbir and Rashmika in the film. When their family opposes their love, they lock lips in front of everyone. Sandeep said that he knew Geetanjali’s (Rashmika) family would not understand his love. No one expected this, so they decided to do this. In the scene it seems that he is expressing his anger and also a bit of carelessness.
About the movie
‘Animal’ stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Saloni Batra, Suresh Oberoi and Shakti Kapoor alongside Ranbir and Rashmika. This is the first time Sandeep and Ranbir have worked together. The director had earlier made the films ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’.
