The third day’s play of the second Test match between Australia and Pakistan has come to an end. Australia scored 187 runs for six wickets in the second innings and with this their lead increased to 241 runs. On the third day of the match, Australia bowled out Pakistan for 264 runs in the first innings. In reply, Pakistan gave Australia four wickets for 16 runs in the second innings. After this, Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith combined to take the score to 169 and put Pakistan on the back foot. Mitchell Marsh was dismissed for 96 and Alex Carey came to the crease to support Steve Smith, then Hasan Ali, standing on the boundary line, danced with the crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Talking about the match, Australia scored 318 runs in the first innings, in response to which the Pakistan team was limited to 264 runs. In the second innings, the Australian team lost the wickets of Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuchen, David Warner and Travis Head for 16 runs. Mitchell Marsh is out for 96 runs and Steve Smith is out for 50 runs. At the end of the day’s play, Alex Carey was playing on 16 runs. Pakistan lost the Perth Test by 360 runs and are already 0-1 down in the series. Pakistan has not won a single Test match in Australia for years.
