The former captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team, Arjun Ranatunga, has made a big accusation against the Board of Control for Cricket in India, i.e. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. Ranatunga says that Jay Shah is running Sri Lankan cricket and he has ruined this board. The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has been suspended by the ICC. ICC has argued behind it that there is political interference in the board and due to this the membership of the board has been revoked with immediate effect.
Arjun Ranatunga, who became the board’s interim chairman just hours before the ICC’s decision, told the Daily Mirror in an interview, “They (BCCI) are under influence because of the relationship between SLC (Sri Lanka Cricket) officials and Jayesh Shah. That they can crush the SLC and can control him. Jai Shah is running Sri Lankan cricket. SLC is ruining because of Jai Shah’s pressure. One man from India is ruining Sri Lankan cricket.”
