Speaking about his upbringing, the Republican leader said values ​​like family, marriage and respect for parents were instilled in him. Ramaswamy said, ‘I grew up in a traditional home. My parents taught me that family is the foundation. Respect your parents. Marriage is sacred. The only way is to have abstinence before marriage. Adultery is wrong. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Divorce isn’t just some choice you make… you get married before God and you make vows before God and your family.

The Ohio-based bio-tech entrepreneur also drew similarities between Hinduism and Christianity, saying that these are the ‘shared values’ of God, and he would stand for those shared values.
