IAS officer Surbhi Gautam hails from a small village in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. She was very gifted in studies from her childhood. All the family members used to see Surabhi and say that one day she will bring glory to our family. Surabhi did her primary schooling from the village. Surbhi was the topper in her class right from her school days. He scored 90 percent marks in class 10 and 12 without any coaching help.
His father was a civil court lawyer and his mother was a teacher. In such a situation, education at home was given great importance. Her parents always encouraged their daughter towards education. After her Class 12 board exam results, Surbhi took the state engineering entrance exam, in which she passed. After which he completed his engineering studies in electronics and communications from Bhopal. Let us tell you that Surbhi was the first girl from her village to go to the city for her college studies.
Along with his engineering studies, he started preparing for UPSC and made his first attempt in the year 2016. After giving her first attempt at UPSC, she had no idea that she would crack the exam in the first attempt. She was surprised when the result came. He cleared the UPSC exam with 50th rank.
Let us tell you that before joining UPSC Civil Services, Surabhi worked as a Nuclear Scientist in BARC for one year. He also achieved success in exams like GATE, ISRO, SAIL, MPPSC PCS, SSC CGL, Delhi Police and FCI. Not only that, he secured AIR 1 in the IES exam conducted in 2013.
