Bihar: Angry girl students protest against poor school system, target BEO’s car

In Bihar’s Vaishali district, school girls upset over the poor system created an uproar. According to the information, the students of Mahnar Girls High School in Mahnar block of Vaishali blocked the road due to non-availability of benches and desks in the school. A large number of police forces had to be deployed at the protest site to control the angry students. Meanwhile, the agitated students attacked and damaged the vehicle of the Block Education Officer. The students alleged that they were beaten up by women policemen.

It is to be noted that Bihar Education Department Secretary and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s close official K K Pathak these days is continuously taking many steps to improve education in Bihar. KK Pathak has made 75 percent attendance mandatory. But there is a big lack of system in the schools. Many places do not even have bench desks for students to sit on.
