About one lakh matric and intermediate students of Bihar Board will not be able to appear for the exam. The registration of these students has been canceled due to persistent absence from school and failure to complete 75 percent attendance. Bihar Board Secretary Pramod Kumar has informed all district education officers about this. According to Pramod Kumar, students who are continuously absent from school in class 10 and 12 will not be included in the centup exam. In this regard, the board has also called for school and district wise list of students of all districts. One week time has been given to the schools for this. During this period, all DEOs have to send the list of male and female students to the board in hard and soft copy.

According to the Bihar Board, the registration of 2,66,564 students of class 9 and 12 across the state has been cancelled. Registration of 1,66,564 boys and girls of class 9 and 11 has been cancelled. These students will not appear in the next annual examination. Let us tell you that on the orders of the Education Department, it was ordered to cancel the enrollment of those students from class 9 to 12 who are continuously absent from school. Such students will not appear in subsequent examinations. Let us tell you that the Interni stop exam will be conducted from October 30 to November 6. While the matric setup exam will be held in the last week of November.

On the instruction of the education department, the Bihar board issued a letter in August itself asking students to complete 75 per cent attendance. But there was constant absence of boys and girls from schools. Earlier the 75 percent attendance rule was enforced till the board exam, but later the board revised it and made it applicable for the set up exam. Attendance of students has been recorded since April till now. Let us tell you that now the rule of 75 percent attendance has been implemented in the centup exam.

DEO (Patna) Amit Kumar said, ‘Only those students who have 75 per cent school attendance will be sent. A letter has been received from the Bihar Board regarding this. School wise list of students is being prepared, it will be sent to the board.
