6060 head teachers will be recruited in secondary and higher secondary schools of Bihar. The education department sent its demand to the general administration department on Tuesday. The general administration department is expected to send the request to the Bihar Public Service Commission soon. After this the commission will call for applications from the candidates. In 2022, BPSC issued an advertisement for the recruitment of 6421 head teachers, out of which only 421 were selected. Only 369 of them contributed. Actually, marks were fixed for different sections of the examination. 12 thousand 547 candidate teachers who did not pass these marks were declared failed. Now requisition has been sent for remaining posts.

Eight to 12 years of experience is required to become a head teacher.
6060 head teachers will be reinstated in secondary and higher secondary schools of the state. The Education Department has clarified that a minimum of eight years of continuous service for the post of Secondary Teacher and a minimum of four years for the post of Higher Secondary Teacher under State Government Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipal Bodies shall be mandatory. Also, it has been made mandatory for those teaching in private schools to have 12 years of experience in secondary and 10 years in higher secondary.

What educational qualification was asked last time?
– Should have passed PG with minimum 50% marks. SC-ST, EBC, BC, Handicapped, Women and Economically Weaker candidates are given five percent relaxation in merit related condition. That means he can apply for PG with 45% marks.
– Candidate should have passed B.Ed/B.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
– Must have passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2012 or later.

Age limit was asked – Minimum age should be 31 years and maximum 47 years. Relaxation will be given to the reserved category as per the provisions of the government.
