These days crazy people are willing to do anything to become famous on social media. Many people also die during this period. The latest case is from Austria, where a man died while trying to climb the Instagram-famous ‘Stairway to Heaven’, but it was an accident.

These stairs lead to the Dachstein Mountains outside of Salzburg.

The accident took place on September 12, when a 42-year-old man started climbing the stairs alone without any guide. In the meantime he slipped down the stairs and fell into the valley below, due to which he died. Police officers and two rescue helicopters rushed to the scene after the crash, but the man could not be saved. Rescue workers recovered his body soon after the fall.

Police officials have denied the negligence of any third person in the incident. Police say that Arohi was completely alone at the time of the accident. However, the identity of the killed person has not been released yet.

He says climbing a ladder is done in four steps. The stairs are about 40 meters long. The description on the website reads – Stairway to Heaven was created by Outdoor Leadership in collaboration with professional climber Haley Putz. However, the website warns that climbing the stairs is for “experienced climbers only” and should be completed in normal weather conditions.
